Extra Hard Mode
The plugin called "Extra Hard Mode" allows the server to be even more difficult than just setting the difficulty to hard. It's mainly made for people who've got a lot of experience in Minecraft already and seek for a new challenge. Everything that's been changed by this plugin will be shown in a little scoreboard (sidebar) so always read that.
The first thing you'll notice is that dirt is also affected by gravity just like gravel. This is mainly to prevent you from building dirt houses. Even though it might seem strange at first, you get used to it pretty quickly. Also torches can't be built on dirt or sand which forces you to build little (and perhaps good looking) pillars for them.
You might also notice that fall damage is much higher than in vanilla and adds a slowing effect which is firstly more realistic and secondly just more challenging. No more jumping down 10 blocks without thinking. Also suffocating, drowning and explosion damage kill you faster and add some effects as well. Be careful!
The more you wear and the heavier it is, the slower you'll go. A full diamond armor slows you down by a whole 40% which you'll definitely notice.
The same principle applies to swimming. You have a certain weight limit you can carry before you start drowning (although you can somewhat swim against that weight). Items have a certain weight and wearing armor is even worse than just carrying it in your inventory. If you are too heavy, try taking it off and you might be able to swim. You'll be able to see if you're carrying too much or not in the scoreboard whenever you pick new stuff up or drop it:
As you jump into the water, you'll instantly notice that the weight drags you down and will make it somewhat impossible to keep your head over water. Be careful in boats as when they break, the weight will drag you down in no time - that can be really scary in an open ocean!
Make sure to place your farm under sunlight as it will otherwise not grow at all, farms underground won't work, glass as a roof is fine though as snow can break your crops. Even if all conditions are met, your crops will still only grow successfully in 75% of all times. The other 25% it will turn into a dead bush which you'll have to destroy and rake the ground again.
Putting too many animals in too little space will drive them insane and kill them eventually. Make sure to provide enough room for these little fellas :) Also sheep will only grow white wool which you'll have to dye and iron golems don't drop any iron.
Also beware that pigzombies are always aggressive.
If you ever happen to die you'll only respawn with 75% of your health and a food level of 15. You have to eat if you want to get back to full health. Your items will be savely stored in a chest where you died and it'll stay there for 1 hour. After that all its content will be dropped and disappear eventually. The ender dragon is much harder on this server than in vanilla because he spawns extra mobs that attack you all the time and you're also not allowed to just tower up right next to an obsidian pillar. Not all of this is Extra Hard Mode but I thought it would make sense to mention them all in here.
Spawning the wither is only allowed in the end (for technical reasons). This is also not due to Extra Hard Mode but it changes vanilla behaviour so I thought it would fit. If you need to get to the end you might wanna look into "/warp end".
This is not part of Extra Hard Mode but I think it fits well in here because it changes vanilla behaviour. Villager trading is disabled altogether because it's too easy to cheese villagers and get awesome trades (like a Mending book) without much work. Because of that we have removed trading and moved the most important trades into the Admin Shop /bs. If you want anything added, message an admin on Discord or in game.
