You have all your character's classes marked as gestalt. To fix this, turn off the Gestalt
flag for your primary class

You had the "Why is my character level 0?" issue (see the FAQ above this one if you haven't already), and then leveled the character without fixing it. Follow the advice for that issue, and then click the "Fix Incorrect Main Character" button in the first tab, with both your Knight Commander and the affected companion in your party.

CD's answer:
- Changing story events requires editing etudes/flags. We have a list of Known Solutions for WotR here/Known Solutions for Rogue Trader here, but if what you want done isn't listed, you will likely have to narrow things down and try things on your own. Changing things in the story is more of an art, and there's no way for us to know how to fix/change everything.
ADDB's answer:
Guide: I forgot to xxx and don't want to play everything again. Can I use ToyBox to fix that?
- It's quite likely that you can use ToyBox to do that. The challenge lies in pinpointing the precise changes you need to make in order to fix the issue.
- In most cases, this will involve starting, unstarting, or completing Etudes, altering flag counters, and adjusting quest states—all tasks that can be easily accomplished with ToyBox. While some situations have known solutions (refer to the ToyBox FAQ Etude Solutions), you'll generally need to investigate on your own to determine the necessary edits.
- How to find out what needs to be edited:
- If you simply missed a conversation with a character, the problem can usually be resolved without too much difficulty. Follow these steps:
- Load a save from before the missed interaction.
- Activate
Preview Dialog Results
in ToyBox'sBag of Tricks
tab. This will provide hints about the outcomes of each dialog choice. - Engage the character in conversation and take note of what the dialog does (e.g., "Etude Started: My_WonderfulEtude", "Quest Started", etc.).
- After completing the missed dialog and recording the steps, load the save where you initially forgot the interaction.
- Use the ToyBox
EtudeEditor
,Quests
, andSearch 'n Pick
tabs to manually apply the changes the dialog would have made. While this guide focuses on a specific situation (missing a conversation), it covers the majority of cases, as most game flags and states are modified during dialogs. If you're having trouble identifying what needs to be edited—particularly in scenarios that deviate from the one described here—Someone in the mod-user-general on the official Owlcat Discord might help you if you ask for help. Every save (meaning the.zks
archive) contains a history file which also tracks Etude changes. You might be able to use that to pin down the necessary changes. I haven't tried that method myself, so I can't say how that method compares to the one described above.

Toybox changed it's name so it is technically 2 separate mods in UMM, so you updated correctly. Run the game once with both installed, so the settings transfer over, and then close the game and uninstall the one complaining about an update

While there is no option to remove the limit, you can surpass the limit by going to the Party
tab -> Remote
subtab, and clicking the Add
button next to the companions you want to add past the limit.
