New Board

Welcome to the UF Carpentry Club Board! Your role as a board member is to organize Carpentry workshops at UF, coordinate board meetings, build relationships with other related organization at UF, and to teach foundational coding and data science skills to researchers worldwide. Thank you so much for taking up this responsibility!

Governance of the Club is organized by the governance documents, in particular the Club charter.

The 2018-19 Board met every two weeks, occasionally skipping meetings when too many board members would be out of town or busy. Each meeting is organized by a chairperson, who creates an agenda for the meeting, circulates it beforehand, and leads the meeting. The secretary takes minutes for the meeting, and uploads them to our website afterwards. We tried to organize overlapping four-week terms for these two positions, so that every member of our board had an opportunity to serve in both these positions.

The only term-long position on the 2018-19 board was the treasurer.
