### Why no permissions API?

Conceptually, permissions are simple: Granted / Denied. However, in reality it isn't.
Both Android and iOS keep changing how permissions work and what permissions are needed for an action.
As an example, [here's the iOS diagram that react-native-permissions provides in their README](https://github.com/zoontek/react-native-permissions#ios-flow), which illustrates the complexity we don't want to duplicate:
