Desired Behaviour

When the Spectrum is calculated in the Live Viewer, we want to do this asynchronously to the GUI such that the GUI remains responsive to the user.

Current Behaviour

Currently, MI calculates the Spectrum in the same thread as the GUI which can lead to unresponsiveness for large datasets.
