Hi!

What's the use-case for this? I.e. would this unlock some use-case that is currently not possible with just the FILENAME variable?

I'd prefer not to change the default filename by adding the .dump suffix, since it would be a backwards incompatible change.

When I started working on this I don't think I fully realized that FILENAME could take a timestamp format, so there's probably no point to it. Will close it in favor of what exists already.
