Temperature Coefficient of the Refractive Index Plot

Fundamentals

This subwindow plots temperature coefficient of the absolute refractive index (dn/dt(abs)) for different wavelengths. Once a glass is selected, graphs for 5 wavelengths are automatically plotted.

The formula is given as:

$\frac{dn_{abs}\left ( \lambda ,T \right )}{dT}=\frac{n^{2}\left ( \lambda ,T \right )-1}{2 n\left ( \lambda , T \right )}\cdot \left ( D_0 + 2D_1 \Delta T + 3D_2 \Delta T^2 + \frac{E_0 + 2E_1 \Delta T}{\lambda^2 - {\lambda^2}_{tk}} \right )$
