Cursor seems to dissapear when moving over left bracket

My theory is that this is because the background color at the position is inverted twice: once because the cursor is on it and another time because both brackets are highlighted. The cursor is still blinking, but when I'm moving the cursor quickly it just seems to have dissapeared (especially when moving over a lot of left brackets next to eachother).
