Hello there,

I went through your research paper, this is good work, but I do have some following questions:

  • After the execution of the code, which is the key field?
  • Can we use generated semantics in grammar-based protocol fuzzing?
  • Since you mentioned Discoverer in your evaluation section, how did you get those results? I couldn't find their repo. And how did you make those comparisons exactly?
  • Do you have constraints for the correct PCAP file? Or your model can still find the key field.

Please answer the above questions; I would appreciate your help.

+1, it is not clear to me how to interpret the output.

Late to the game. Are you asking how to determine the clustering that NetPlier derived? Or are you asking, how to determine the field boundaries that NetPlier derived?

Speaking for myself I just have no idea what I'm looking at. Apparently there's some kind of clustering and fields, but I can't make out what I'm seeing.
