Display a custom message to certain users?

Hi. I was wondering if it would be possible to display a custom message to certain users?

We sell a discount card on our website and when the user purchases it, their role automatically switches from Customer to Discount Card Holder. I was wondering if it would be possible to display something to the Customers like "Regular price: 20€ - Discount card holder price: 15€ - Get your card now to save 5€."

I thought of using the shortcode but is there any way to hide the shortcode if the user is already a card holder?
