Okay, I’ve answered my own question - I was fairly sure the entities would persist following a reinstall of the add-on so I went ahead and they have, although the API outage today coincided with me doing the reinstall which had me worried for a while when nothing worked 😊 Now back on track with version 5.6.6 and everything working. |

Hi, I'm probably beyond the limit of my technical understanding so go easy on me...
I have HA installed on a RaspberryPi and added the ring-mqtt Add-On via the store some time ago to integrate my Ring alarm. I've recently started getting a "Repository for add-on Ring-MQTT with Video Streaming is missing" warning, but have checked and the repository URL is there and specified correctly. The add-on is working at the moment but is at version 4.9.1.
If I go to the add-on documentation and click on the change log I get a message "Addon xxxxx_ring_mqtt with version latest does not exist in the store", and I see xxxxx_ring_mqtt listed as my hostname - I'm not sure from where that's been derived. The xxxxx is actually some other text - looks like a series of hex numbers - but I've not included that in case there's anything in it that identifies my HA instance.
Is there a simple config fix I can make to resolve this, as I'm now aware that the version is way out of date and needs an update?
Alternatively, do I need to reinstall the add-on, and if so will I need to set up all my configuration again - automations, dashboards, etc., or will the information about the devices and entities remain?
Any advice gratefully received.
