I have noticed that I am suddenly not able to control the base station volume via the integration - the add on is no longer populating the entity. Looking at the history of the entity it went unavailable after I installed the last version update of the addon.
In the log I see:
2024-06-08T22:03:39.276Z ring-mqtt [32m[xxxxx Base Station] [39mAccount does not have access to set volume on base station, disabling volume control
so the addon logic thinks I am not the primary owner.
I have been using the integration for some time without an issue so I am at a bit of a loss to see why. I am the primary user for my ring system - via the ring app I can see and change the volume:
Checking the help it tells me
Note that Ring shared users do not have access to control the Base Station volume so, if you want to control the Base Station volume using this integration, you must generate the refresh token using the primary Ring account.
Nothing has changed in the past week as far as I know other than the new release.
I wondered about forcing the token to be refreshed but I am reluctant to do that without first looking at other potential issues because Last time I removed all the tokens from my ring app I ended up with issues getting everything running again so am reluctant to do that as its impossible to know what token has been generated by what integration.
Has anything changed in the logic recently ? Anyone else got this issue?
While I am the prime owner of my account I am a shared user on my mums ring system but she only has cameras and does not have an alarm. is there some logic that may be I need to consider? Any ideas what I need to check to see where the wrong answer is coming from?
Many thanks for any suggestions
