Support async creation of large numbers of Tags

Sub task of #148.

Once we add the ability to add tags via multi-image selection menu (and potentially the filter panel action menu?) we will want to test the limits of performing the Tag creation synchronously and perhaps implement an async workflow if it's insufficient to handle large numbers of images.
