As I understand it,
org.bouncycastle:bcprov-jdk18onis for JDK 8 and newer, whileorg.bouncycastle:bcprov-jdk15to18is for JDK 5 to JDK 8.Android development supports newer JDKs now, so I think it should be safe to update to the
