Due to the relatively low voltage we get from the batter (~4.3-4.7 volts), we are currently unable to run the LCD. Reading through this aritcle, we can use a circuit like this to get the low voltage back up to 5V, which the LCD requires.
I have no idea if this will work, but I can certainly try.
