As reported before for Lion, the 'find', 'find next' and 'find previous' commands and keyboard shortcuts are broken on Mountain Lion.

As others have asked, will this app be fixed or is it dead in the water?

You're using a massively outdated version. Get 2.2b

Oh, man, I got the repos confused. That link is for nvALT, but find does work there.

👍 related issue: NV targets 10.5 and needs to be "ported" to a modern Mac OS X. This porting has been worked on and there is an open pull request to get the changes back into scrod/nv — see #337.
