The basic goal is, to allow people to play in a social environment offices or livingrooms.

There are some games like Jackbox Party games, that make the players use their smartphone as their controller, but the main gameplay happens on the main monitor.

Workflow:

  1. Main monitor (preferably a TV with touch or so) opens a lobby

The player gets a special player state, such as whiteboard.
This isn't rendered on the scoreboard.

  1. The whiteboard offers a QR code for joining
  2. Players that join, do not see the canvas

Drawing events will no longer be forwarded to the clients. The chat should be the main focus.

  1. The whiteboard is excluded from readiness checks, so once all non-whiteboard players are ready, the game starts
  2. If its a players turn, they see that word and go up to the whiteboard.
  3. Scoring is the same as always

A bonus would be, to allow some type of hybrid mode, but that might be an idea for the future.
