Like #54, but this one is a bit more complicated -- we need to worry about possible revdep breakages. Possibly this should be introduced as a cautious cycle:

  • Nothing this first release with me as maintainer
  • Next release, move to re-exporting all {bit} functions wrapped with a warning
  • Subsequent release, un-export the {bit} functions
