How do I get quarto to use the python environment set in RStudio?

Description

In RStudio one can set the python environment that one wants to use. All Python code that one runs from within RStudio will use that environment, including code blocks in R Markdown documents. The only exception are code blocks in quarto documents. Is there a way to get quarto to also use the python environment set in RStudio?

Are you referring to code block you run interactively in RStudio source pane ?
Or during quarto render in RStudio IDE ?

In both case, I would suggest to open an issue in RStudio repo as they may need to adapt their configuration to tell quarto which Python version to use.

I was thinking of quarto render. Turns out there is already an RStudio issue about it at rstudio/rstudio#15350
