Miscellaneous questions about Quarto books

I am having good success in creating a Quarto book at https://hbiostat.org/rflow but need to put the icing on the cake. I'd appreciate some help on a few items.

I have

The cover image appears on the first page but is extremely small. I've also tried cover.image under format: html.

I can't see that the google analytic has been implemented in the generated html.

The hypothesis options don't seem to have any effect.

Also I'm getting very large files created in .quarto/_freeze not matter what I put for the freeze parameter.

Great to hear that things are working reasonably well!

I would say if you want a larger cover image than the default treatment you might just want to include it manually where and how you want it (and just hide the default cover image with CSS).

Generally speaking you don't use website in your project file when creating a book. Try moving google-analytics (and other stuff in website) into book. If something doesn't work let us know and we'll address.

Try moving comments out of the book key and into the main body of the file (or within the HTML format options).

We always create files in .quarto/_freeze to prepare for running quarto preview (which we don't want to burden with having to re-render the entire book/site on startup). That is a temporary "freezer" used internally by Quarto and should be gitignored along with the rest of .quarto.
