Adding BCC to all outgoing emails of a specific account

Hi,

I have an account named invoices which I use to send the invoices to my customers. I would like to automatically add my financial advisor as BCC for every email sent from this account. Do I need to create the postfix-main.cf file? What rules should I write into it? Thanks.

The feature is called sender_bcc_maps.

Correct. You'll need something like this:

sender_bcc_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sender_bcc

In the sender_bcc file you can configure the sender and the corresponding BCC address:

[email protected] [email protected]

Don't forget to run postmap /etc/postfix/sender_bcc to create the /etc/postfix/sender_bcc.db file.

What I did:

1. BCC map in config/postfix/sender_bcc :

   # BCC
   [email protected] [email protected]
   [email protected] [email protected]

2. config/user-patches.sh script to automate the process:

   #!/bin/bash
   
   # Configuring BCC map
   cat /tmp/docker-mailserver/postfix/sender_bcc > /etc/postfix/sender_bcc
   postmap /etc/postfix/sender_bcc

3. config/postfix-main.cf containing:

   sender_bcc_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sender_bcc
