Alexander Carballo Presentation - BeamNG

BeamNG - a company from Germany working on simulation solutions
BeamNG's product is a soft-body physics sandbox
It enables detailed modeling of vehicle:
- tires
- suspension
- ground interaction
- powertrain
Sample 3D environments are ready to use:
- Urban
- Off road
- Race tracks
- Highway
General architecture:
- Physics core
- Simulation engine
- Integration layers:
  - ROS / ROS2
  - Simulink
  - Matlab
Sensors simulations
- Camera
- Lidar
- Radar
- Imu
Physics core - can it be integrated with other Simulation Engine ?
- For now full product is available, no integrations of components
- Game Engine used is cretead by BeamNG
BeamNG and Autoware integration:
- Zenoh bridge used to reduce latency between BeamNG and Autoware
- 3D map and Lanelet 2 were prepared
- Tests of different weather conditions (ice / snow / wet road etc)
Alex will provide the components to test:
