The OLED display (part number: MCOT128032CY-WS) has the following pinout:
note that this is looking through the FPC, a fact that was not clear until i had it in my hand. This means that pin one is in the bottom right. The connector on the board, of course, has pin 1 starting at the top right of the connector. So pins 1 to 15 on the connector seem to be mapped to 15 down to 1 on the FPC.
Awkwardly placed. It would be better to have both the rotary knob and screen at the base on the board, where the user will access with the headstage module plugged in behind that. This is minor enough that I might ignore it though.
