On some machines (linux, Xfce), the show_image() function correctly draws the image on the canvas window, bug the canvas window immediately close. It is barely possible to see what happened. I have no idea why.

By the way, it is not possible to close the canvas window, on any machine.

I think the canvas window disappears below mrpython window.. If you move a little bit the window it should appear. It is a relatively cumbersome behavior of some window managers for non-modal windows ... Please confirm this.
