I can reproduce the behavior in the MA UI as well:

  1. Player plays at volume 50:
2024-12-20_11-20-52
  1. Turn off player:
2024-12-20_11-21-17
  1. Turn on player:
2024-12-20_11-23-22
  1. Set volume to 10:
2024-12-20_11-24-55
  1. Start playback:
2024-12-20_11-25-16
  1. It will play at the last used volume of 50:
2024-12-20_11-25-38
