In both firefox and librewolf I can enable vertical tabs by going into about:config and then enabling;
sidebar.revamp
sidebar.verticalTabs

We will consider enabling vertical tabs when Firefox will officially support them in the stable Firefox ESR. (so at the earliest sometimes in the summer of 2025 IF Firefox enable them before then)
