Steps to Reproduce:

  1. In Stable VS Code, install pre-release version of Copilot Chat
  2. After installation, install one pre-release version older than the installed version using Install Specific Version... action
  3. Reload the window
    🐛 Update is not shown

Workaround is to disable extensions.gallery.useUnpkgResourceApi setting
