Option, when no calender entries are in the shown period

I've made a little widged, just showing all events of the actual day...

Now, if there is no entry for the actall day... its just a empty box, with heading. But it would be nice, whe there is a placeholder text saying something like: "no appointments today".

Or if i could make a query if there is a entry for the given time -> and if not - than hide the box, and display another Entity with some text!?
