The smart cells feature in main can allow you to run other languages! You can check the Smart cells guide which has an example of how to evaluate bash scripts. You can use a similar approach to evaluate JS. :) We plan to do a new release soon too, in case you would rather wait until it is officially published. |

Would love to see support for Javascript in Livebook through libraries like this:
https://github.com/devinus/execjs
We have a polyglot team and it would help test engineers that are more familiar with Javascript libraries and ecosystem.
Not asking for full support, just some recognition that Javascript libraries can help complete the Livebook ecosystem, rather than resorting to spinning up Jupyter.
