The number of protocols "in active use" or development has narrowed significantly. This project seeks to explore the reasons and results of this movement within the global Internet. This seems intimately related to the centralization of the Internet.
Ultimately, we'd like to make some concrete suggestions for countering this increasing reliance on a small handful of protocols to solve "everything."
