Hi, I'm kinda new to contributing for the FOSS community and I thought about creating a GUI for hyprland using Electron and then I saw this project that uses python, a language that I'm not very familiar to develop with. Should I create my version using Electron or should I study a bit of python to contribute to this project?

@Torelli It's up to you, your products won't ever be as popular since Electron isn't popular in the Linux community in general and it'd probably be better for you to just help this project but in the spirit of freedom and FOSS it dosen't really matter

Thank you very much, I thought this project was discontinued and I even forgot about this question that I made lol, but I created an unrelated project with hyprland in mind using electron and after all the criticism from the community it will be my pleasure to contribute for this project. I think that a GUI for hyprland would make the WM a lot more beginner friendly. I'll see if I can help

I mean it does seem to be abandoned, for now, but that's probably just because no one's interested in contributing, just remember the ping the maintainer when you make a PR.
