Below is an abbreviated recap of week one of OPENSCAPES-FDD:
Goals: We started working towards a common understanding of the Openscapes mindset and what your pathway forward looks like for your team.
Task for next time: Have a Seaside Chat with your research group to explore/practice GitHub.
Attend the GitHub Clinic or review the recording (posted in our Cohort Folder Wednesday midday); in your Seaside Chat discuss how you might use GitHub as a team
Seaside Chat. Talk with your cohort team about how you want to do this, use whatever communication works.
Start your Pathway: Focus on where you are Now (your trailhead). Note, teams can approach this differently. Maybe the team has one pathway or multiple.
After discussing things, post a new issue to the cohort repo that summarizes your Seaside chat. This is a chance to keep practicing with Issues and is another way to connect across teams during our Cohort. We can assist if you need more help – see next:
Co-working: Thursday, Sept 30, 12:15-1pm ET (optional). This is a time to come work on your own things, but also be able to talk things through and screenshare to get help from others. Check your emails for Calendar Invites with Zoom links.
Slide Decks:
These are also available publicly from openscapes.org/series
