The look is very nice.

Improve the recruit page with:

  • better English wording
  • better font for the text (it's barely readable on many screens)
  • actionable information on how the community can help, besides forking and starring the project.

Maybe:

I'm thinking how is turning this recruit page as the landing page by updating messages in the top area, and put it on https://gitbucket.github.io/

Well, to have a useful landing page, a few things would need to be changed:

  • Menu (navigation links) between logo and "Fork me on GitHub" button
  • Change the main message. Right now it is:
     GitBucket is Open Source
     We need your help!

  • include some sort of Analytics (Google?) to be useful
  • as mentioned in this issue: link the logos to the tools, to have links outside the site.
  • since this would not be an "Ad", the text font would need to be more readable.

and put it on https://gitbucket.github.io/

I guess for this, a gitbucket.github.io would need to be created as a project.

Just moved to https://gitbucket.github.io/ but some more fix is needed.

@takezoe what static site generator have you used for https://gitbucket.github.io/ ?

link the logos of tools in the image to their URL too.

Done here: gitbucket/gitbucket.github.io@04ea2ea
