Clicking on Bookmark icon does not cause it to change color

While on the item view page, there is a Bookmark icon at the left of the title. I can click on the icon and it will add the item to the Bookmarks. However, it does not change color and a scrollover text indicates it as "Not bookmarked".

The icon interaction does work on the Bookmarks page, however.

Is this an issue with the geomgdev attribute-model branch, or is this a geomg production bug?

Just a bug also in production - I added this to the low priority bookmarks tab in the Project Board.
