  • Are you using a docker container or native?: docker container

Description

The documentation seems to indicate that the retention flag is related to rclone backup. Is it honored for local storage as well? I'm assuming you are relying on rclone to handle that retention/purge functionality and local storage will be missed.

Can documentation be clarified? If it's not supported I'll put in a separate ticket as a feature request.

What I Did

Read (mostly... adhd) documentation.

What do you mean by local storage? This tool backs things up from unifi protect to what ever storage you configure in rclone, there is no other storage

I have it running in a docker container and backing up to an NFS share that’s is passed into the docker container.

The backend might be NFS storage but everything goes through rclone

Ah gotcha, so it's still using rclone to drop it in the local directory, and therefore the rclone retention flags will be honored?

Got it.

I used the term locally because that's what it's referred to as in the documentation.
