Hi!

Currently, https://localazy.com/p/element-web Bulgarian and Turkish are missing a lot of translations. As far as I can see nearly 50% of EW is translated in theses languages. We disabled them until we reach 80% of translation coverage.

@florianduros Thanks for the explanation!

Regarding the 80% coverage rule:

There are multiple translations(e.g. Persian, Hebrew, Lithuanian, Brazilian Portuguese), that by far do not meet this requirement, but are still kept in. Why exactly those two did not make the cut?

They were at this stage for many years now... And yes, it's not ideal, but to suddenly disable them and with it cut off over 100 million population (equals France & Poland together!), but then to not even mention this in the commit is a bit rude, imo.

It is a regression and should be treated as such.

Thanks a lot!

@krassle our original rule was indeed around 80% but in practice the lowest enabled language is 63%. It is not ideal that languages got removed but it was the first such review in 3 years and some languages simply were not being kept up to date which yields a poor product experience. I suggest contributing translations if you wish for the languages to return.

@krassle, @florianduros, @t3chguy. Hello, I contributed Bulgarian translations. It's now 60%, please restore Bulgarian language and review my translations at localazy.com/p/element-web

It is only at 48% approved, we have yet to formalise a minimum for enablement. @langleyd was looking into this.
