I noticed that in this port, the menu seems to be extremely laggy and unresponsive. In KippyKip's SVN fork (last updated 2021), however, the menu is perfectly responsive as it should be.
Also, an observation: saving games only seems to save the amount of ammo you currently have plus all the weapons you've collected. Everything else just gets reset to the defaults, including the starting position of the save file, the health and armor, the keys, and all the monsters in the level. It seems like this could cause softlocks for any PWADs designed around carryovers, not to mention that beating Doom II on UV without mid-level saves is extremely difficult with how low the framerate gets on maps like Downtown. I've tried this and the SVN port on mGBA, VBA Next, and an Everdrive Mini, and they all behaved the same. Was it meant to be like this?
