I have found this extension and started to contribute, see pull request #33.
There is more I would like to add code for like improvments for tab activity accounting.
Depending on the resolution of this issue different ways might be best.

Therefore I (and mybe others) would like to know whether this extension should be made compatible with Chrome.
This might require the use of the webextension-polyfill and avoiding browser (Firefox) specific API parts.

As a Firefox user I would like Chrome extension developers to make their extensions available for Firefox, too.
That's why I bring up this topic here.

With Google's plan to create a largely incompatible new version of their extension API I sadly have to say I personally would not invest in this myself.
See chromium issue https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=896897 and discussion on it https://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/forum/m/#!topic/chromium-extensions/veJy9uAwS00.

Should this be closed?
