The Surface Dial Filter driver is not yet finished, and doesnt inject the coordinates into the HID reports.

  • Need to reverse engineer the Intel i686 driver to understand if the reports have information injected into them, or a specific feature report set is being sent to the dial device
  • Need to update the driver, potentially with the HeatCore Interface Link to get positions in real time
  • Finish POC to demonstrate position support

Note: Modern devices like Hub 2S use the modern digitizer heatcore software stack, and support on screen dial (reportedly)
