[BUG]File renaming in dropzone

I have an issue where everytime i drag a file in the dropzone and then copy it somewhere else, gets renamed as the file format i.e a pdf document becomes pdfdocument.pdf etc... I can't find anyone else online with this issue so could be something with my system but i'm not sure how to approach it.

M3 macbook pro, macos sequoia 15.2
