[Bug]: Resizing images - image size does not follow pointer

Describe the Bug

Resizing an image on the background layer. I click on the resize handle and drag.

The handle does not follow the mouse pointer, instead it follows at a scaled rate.

To Reproduce

Stick an image on the background layer.
Make it free-size
Try resizing it.

Expected Behaviour

Resize corner should slavishly follow the pointer screen position
