Lib_onMouseOverlay

alt text

Library token for the Maptool VTT application.

This library token uses functionality that aligns an overlay with a token.
While functional, Maptool does not directly support this.

This Library Token does NOT support:

  • Tokens that use any form of offset or layout edited values (expect misalignment).
  • Macros that include improper use of frame5, dialog5, or overlay functions.

To get real value from this library token, there is an expectation that you know how to edit macros
and can navigate the Maptool Wiki (https://rptools.hyperbooks.com/index.php/Main_Page).
This skillset will allow you to integrate the features offered here, into your ways of working
or the framework that you are using.

Run the Info Macro once loaded in Maptool for more information.

General Summary

An overlay is created as you mouse over tokens.
The overlay provides up to 9 tiles that you can click on that run macros.
Up to 6 overlays can be configured:

  • Self, PC, Friend, NPC, Foe, Other
    • Each overlay can contain up to 9 different tiles
    • Each tiles links to a macro that receives this JSON array: ["selected token id","mouse over id"]
      • The values will be empty if not detected

On the library token, you will find these Macro Groups: Self, PC, Friend, NPC, Foe, Other.
Each group will contain 9 macros that align with each tile location on the overlay.
These are the macros you need to edit.

onMouseOverlay_Image_Template.xcf file is for GIMP at https://www.gimp.org/ It includes several options to create custom overlays.

These are 9 overlays included as default.
