IdeaVim mapleader delay

I just recently started using IdeaVim and it seemed to work fine till I wanted to use my mapleader.
It seems like it has an unpredictable delay. As you can see until the 9th try I was able to write by using my mapleader which is space character.
This does not happen in NeoVim.

Update:
I just noticed that is no delay, in fact, I have to press nmap letter twice in order to get the response.

I tried to enable the File | Settings | Editor | General | Editor Tabs | Mark modified whichthe would add a mark in editor tab showing the modified status.
Then I tried to use the <space>w and I can see the IDEA save the file correctly and clear the modified status in the tab.
Does it the same for you?

From your video, the right button shows the Running SonarLint xxx at the end. I am not sure how SonarLint plugin decide the time when running it but maybe IDEA already saved your file even though no Running SonarLint xxx showing?

I have the same problem. I mapped the leader key to ; and have to press the leaderKey until received two beeps then I can additionally press the second key to get the expected response. I am new to vim and ideavim but that doesn't feel good.

set timeoutlen=400 did the trick for me

This usually means that you have mappings that share a prefix - the timeout means that it's waiting for you to type the next key in the mapping sequence so it know what command to execute. Can you share your ~/.ideavimrc?
