Mystery Goo not showing any new reports #65
Comments
I've tested by going to a biome and spamming goos 20x, and checking the results against both the CCS and stock experiment results lists. Landed Launchpad: May only be using the stock option, but CSS has the same result as the first in its list. Actually tested 60x for this one... always got the stock option Landed Runway: Stock result only Landed Northern Ice Shelf: Uses CSS (does not have an entry in stock) Landed Ice Caps: Uses CSS (does not have an entry in stock) Landed Souther Ice Shelf: Uses CSS (does not have an entry in stock) (At this point I realized that it probably was only useful to check the location where stock KSP has goo science defs.) Landed Kerbin Desert: Stock result only Splashed Kerbin Shores: Stock result only Splashed Kerbin Water: Stock result only Kerbin Space Low: Stock result only Kerbin Space High: CSS (but kerbin space high is not used in stock) Mun Space High: CSS (also not specifically in stock, it just uses "Mun") The remainder of the listed stock results are non-specific, such as BopInSpace and EeLooInSpace, so they always are overrriden by the more specific results. So, what does this tell us? It SEEMS that stock experiment results always take precedence over the mod's, at least for Goo. Time to test other experiments.... |
Crew Report on Launchpad: Uses CSS Surface Sample from Launchpad: Stock result only Crew Report Kerbin Space High: CSS (not specifically in stock, just In Space) Crew Report Kerbin Space Low: Stock result only (in fact, stock has TWO options, only one of which was observed over 20x tests) Kerbin Space Low Highlands: An interesting note is that in the stock key is "KerbinInSpaceHighlands", while CSS uses "KerbinInSpaceLowHighlands". I think that KerbinInSpaceLow would be applicable for high and low orbits, but I'll have to test that in stock KSP later. |
New to the mod, downloaded it to specifically edit the GOO text. I seems that the EVA, Temp, Barometer texts all show new funny stuff, but the Goo never changes from the default.
