I'm using helper script to install and no matter what I do I end up with (/usr/data/mobileraker_companion/scripts/install.sh: line 197: pip3: not found) how do I get past this?

You'll need to make sure that python 3.x is installed.

Since your running on a creality machine there is a high possibly that this is not possible due to the locked OS they provide.

I suggest you ask at the creality groups for help as I currently don't have access to any creality machine to test it myself.
