The ability to "Switch to plan" based on the value contained in a passenger would simplify computed goto and gosub/return functionality thereby significantly reducing the size of programs by making code reuse easier.
Technically you can already do this by writing a branch handler, so it's not strictly necessary. I just thought it might add more "taxi flavour" to a reading of the code.
The fact that most passengers that request destinations will, instead, be dumped off the Riverview Bridge could also be seen as mildly humorous.
