How to remove domain action buttons from Area cards?

I am using HaAreaCard for all my area cards.
How do I remove the domain action buttons (e.g. lights or fans) from the Area cards?

I have found that one of the biggest areas of pain for the family in using the dashboard is that they accidently press these buttons when scrolling the list of areas - so it would be good to turn them off.

The options at https://www.home-assistant.io/dashboards/area/#configuration-variables are supported.
It seems HASS doesn't allow to hide the lights/switches.
