I have a light in the kitchen....will work fine for hours but at some point homebridge stops being able to control it....the reason I don't think the light is the issue is restarting homebridge fixes the issue. I don't know if homebridge needs to occasionally do some sort of pulse check but as I'm having trouble finding more switchmate toggle switches it's become an issue. It's a v3 light named "kitchen light". I can provide more if you tell me what might be useful. All the other lights works as expected and the light is physically only about 30 feet from the pi.
I have an old v1 switch which "has to think about things for a little while" before it finally turns on and off but I just ensure in scenes like "good Morning" and "good night" it's one of the first lights requested.
The kitchen light one is one of the first lights discovered:

I'm getting alot of these (and DID read the linked article):

I'm on a wifi hotspot for internet..it's not fast and latency can be an issue...is there somewhere I can extend the timeout? The npm status url says all systems are running fine.
